This statistic presents the percentage of cyber bullied students in the United States who notified an adult, divided by gender. During the school year 2012-13, 31.6 percent of female students between the ages of 12 and 18 years who were harassed and bullied online subsequently reported the incident to an adult. Cyber bullying includes unwanted contact by threatening or insulting the respondent via digital communications as well as sharing private information online.
