**Between 2008 and 2009 Lloyds Banking Group, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and HBOS plc were reclassified from the private sector to the public sector.
***In 2011 ASHE replaced the Standard Occupational Classification 2000 (SOC 2000) with the Standard Occupational Classification 2010 (SOC 2010). The change to SOC 2010 has affected the survey weighting. The estimates for women in the private sector have changed (by less than one percentage point) as a result of this adjustment. The download file for this chart includes 2011 estimates on both the SOC 2000 and SOC 2010 basis.
