In 2020, the median cost of a domestic feature film in the United Kingdom whose budget was equal to or higher than 500 thousand British pounds amounted to approximately 1.97 million pounds, down from 2.24 million pounds a year earlier. That represents an annual decrease of 12 percent. British movies' box office gross in the UK declined by 65 percent between 2019 and 2021.
