Average domestic vacation length in Great Britain 2021-2023

² The survey, carried out weekly, asks respondents about overnight trips taken in Great Britain during the previous four weeks. While the annual target sample is 60,000, the number of respondents from April to December 2021 was 47,008. However, the sample size used for trip estimation was lower than the number of interviews, as not every respondent had made an eligible overnight trip.

To access the data within the Excel sheet, go to the "GB" tab and change the PivotTable Fields to include the value "Main Trip Purpose". Figures were calculated by dividing the number of domestic holiday nights by the number of domestic holiday trips spent by Britons.
