This survey shows the incidence rate of crimes at wholesale and retail premises in England and Wales in 2018, by business size. According to the survey, retail and wholesale businesses with one to nine employees experienced a crime rate of 7,740 incidents per 1,000 premises. In comparison, those employing 50 or more had a much higher rate, reaching 178,480 incidents per 1,000 premises in 2018.
