This survey shows the incidence rate of burglaries at wholesale and retail premises in England and Wales in 2017, by business size. According to the survey, retail and wholesale premises employing 1 to 9 members of staff had a rate of 281 burglary incidents per 1,000 premises. In comparison, businesses employing 50 or more experienced a much higher rate of burglary incidents, at 1,416 per 1,000 premises.
