It shows that Tesco shoppers spent around 3.2 percent more per visit in 2013 than in 2012, while 1.8 percent less was spent at Asda that year. Aldi however showed the greatest increase, with consumers spending 13.1 percent more at Aldi in 2013 than in 2012.
