This graph shows the average speed of vehicles driving on dual carriageways in Great Britain in 2014. Most vehicles had an average speed within their speed limit, however, given that the speed limit for heavy goods vehicles is 50 mph, the average speed for both rigid and articulated HGVs exceeded this limit.
