This statistic shows male unemployment in urban China in 2011, by age and household registration. In 2011, ten percent of urban residents between 21 and 30 years old were registered as unemployed in China. According to the analysis of China Household Finance Survey Center, the high unemployment rate among older male urban residents was due to the large-scale layoffs between 1998 and 2001.
