This statistic shows the result of a question from the British Social Attitudes survey which asked how the respondents think immigration policy should change, if at all. The results have been split here by migrant heritage. The majority of respondents in both groups said they were in favour of reducing immigration levels, although those who were first or second generation migrants had a considerably lower proportion.
