During most recently measured survey period ending December 2018, it was found that Prime members spend an average of 1,400 U.S. dollars on the online shopping platform every year, compared to 600 U.S. dollars spending of non-Prime members. During the same period, it was estimated that there were around 95 million Amazon Prime members in the United States. Amazon Prime falls under Amazon's retail subscription service segment, which generated 6.39 billion U.S. dollars in worldwide revenues in 2016.
