The survey was conducted in August 2018. In the age group of the 18-34 year-olds, 69 percent of respondents reported taking dietary supplements. Over two-thirds of the adults population in the United States takes dietary supplements, according to the survey. The nutritional supplement industry has seen a large growth in the market, especially in protein supplements and vitamins.
