Shoppers who plan the brand to buy before shopping in the UK 2012, by category This statistic shows the percentage of shoppers that pre-plan to buy a particular brand before shopping for it in the United Kingdom (UK), by shopping category. According to the survey conducted in 2012, 67 percent of tobacco consumers plan which brand to buy before going to the store. Of those buying chocolate, only around a fifth pre-plan which brand they will buy. This may explain the suggested lack of brand loyalty when consumers purchase chocolate brands
