Leading brands of cognac

Based on sales volume, Hennessy has been the leading brand of cognac for the last decade. Martell and Rémy Martin were some of the other brands of cognac with considerable sales numbers. In 2018, each of these brands sold roughly two and a half million 9 liter cases.

U.S. ad spend for brandy and cognac

There was a significant increase in advertising expenditures for brandy and cognac in the United States in 2018. While U.S. ad spend hovered around the 20 million U.S. dollar mark between 2013 and 2017, expenditures soared to an estimated 35 million U.S. dollars in 2018. About 30 million U.S. dollars was spent on broadcast advertising specifically, while other advertising mediums were far less common that year.
