Scottish independence debate: Are ordinary people getting their say? 2013 survey This statistic shows a distribution of respondents to a survey question designed to find out what those residing in Scotland think about the involvement of ordinary people in the debate about independence. In January 2013, the majority (55 percent) believed that such people were indeed being given a say in the often fervid debate around the upcoming referendum on Scottish independence in September 2014.
