It is now the fifth most popular product offered by Cadbury, despite only being available between January and Easter Sunday. Cadbury, originally known as Cadbury’s, was founded in Birmingham, England in 1824. In 1969 it merged with Schweppes but had demerged by 2008. Two years later it became part of the American conglomerate Kraft Foods. After splitting into two companies in 2012, Cadbury is now a subsidiary of the American multinational company Mondelez.In 2019, Mondelez announced that it will introduce a 100-calorie cap on products such as Cadbury Fudge and Cadbury Mini Fingers in a bid to fight the obesity crisis.
