The statistic depicts the results of an online survey conducted among 2,000 internet users in the United States as of November 2013. The survey respondents, who were 18 years and older, were polled about their purchasing rates of local food and drink items. Local fruits and vegetables were the most purchased overall, with 94 percent of respondents reporting to have purchased at some point fruits or vegetables they considered local.
