Re-offending in England and Wales 2012/2013 by age group This statistic shows the proportion of offenders who were proven to have re-offended in England and Wales from April 2014 to March 2015, by age. The proportion of offenders who were proven to have re-offended tended to decrease with age. A proven re-offence is defined as any offence committed in a one year follow-up period that leads to a court conviction, caution, reprimand or warning in the one year follow-up. Following this one year follow-up, a further six month waiting period is allowed for the offence to be proven in court.

This statistic shows the proportion of offenders who were proven to have re-offended in England and Wales from April 2014 to March 2015, by age. The proportion of offenders who were proven to have re-offended tended to decrease with age. A proven re-offence is defined as any offence committed in a one year follow-up period that leads to a court conviction, caution, reprimand or warning in the one year follow-up. Following this one year follow-up, a further six month waiting period is allowed for the offence to be proven in court.
