South East of England: heavy goods vehicles 1995-2017

This statistic shows the number of licensed heavy goods vehicles in the South East of England from 1995 to 2017, in thousand vehicles. The number of vehicles was increasing steadily between 1997 and 2005 when it peaked initially at 67 thousand vehicles. Since then the numbers fell by about 8 thousand until 2011 after which an increasing trend can be noted that reached 64 thousand HGVs in 2014 and hit a new peak of 70.2 thousand vehicles in 2017.
