This statistic shows holiday destination plans of travelers in the United Kingdom (UK) for their vacation from 2010 to 2015. Overseas holidays were preferred by 78 percent of respondents in 2014, compared to the 45 percent who were thinking of a holiday in the UK. Plans to go abroad on holiday were generally agreed on by a much higher share of respondents, except for 2012, when the difference between those planning an overseas holiday and a staycation was not as marked - 66 percent and 58 percent respectively.
