Video gaming revenue in China 2008-H1 2023
In the first half of 2023, China's video gaming industry reported a total revenue of 144 billion yuan, representing a 2.4 percent drop compared to the same period in the previous year. Amid stricter regulations in the home country, Chinese game developers and publishers have been eagerly finding their footing in overseas big gaming markets, such as United States Japan, and South Korea, and trying to tap into new markets, like Middle East, India, Russia, and Brazil.
