This statistic illustrates the distribution of homes purchased in London in 2013, by the type of buyer: either owner occupier or investor. Owner occupiers acquired 39 percent of all units sold in London in 2013, either outright or as shared ownership. All in total, investors acquired 61 percent of units in London in 2013, out of which 48 percent were purchased with intention to let.
