UK's share of global cross-border bank lending 1992-2016

This statistic shows the share of cross-border bank lending in international financial markets assigned to the United Kingdom (UK) from 1993 to 2016. The source indicates that "cross-border bank lending or international bank flows grew mainly as a result of on ongoing process of financial globalization since the beginning of the 1990s". In 2004 the UK's share in international bank lending amounted to 20 percent. Ten years later, the share equaled 17 percent.
