This statistic describes the mindset of consumers when they first accessed their mobile device to research a purchase in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014, by product category. The greatest share of of consumers only had a general idea of what they were looking for when they began the research process. Mobile users looking for a product from the insurance sector were the most unsure, with 11 percent stating they had no idea what they were looking for at the start of their research.
