Beer styles produced by independent brewers in the United Kingdom 2016 This statistic shows the styles of beer in regular production by independent brewers (who are a member of the Society of Independent Brewers Association) in the United Kingdom in 2016. Pale golden bitter / golden ale was the most popular style brewed with 87.6 percent of independent brewers regularly producing it. This was followed by stout / porter at 80.3 percent and strong bitter / IPA at 77.3 percent.
