Areas with highest share of native English speakers in England in 2011

This statistic shows the top ten local authorities who have the highest percentage of native English speakers in England and Wales in 2011. In Redcar and Cleveland UA, 99.3 percent of the inhabitants were native English speakers which was 0.3 percent lower than the next region, Halton UA. Unlike the ranking of local authorities with the highest percentage of non-native English speakers, 8 out of 10 of these areas are located in the North of England.
