In-stream advertising spending accounted for 305.3 billion Japanese yen of the total online video advertising spending in Japan in 2023. Expenditures on in-stream ads were projected to increase to more than 520 billion yen by 2027. In-stream ad spending was followed by in-feed ad spending, which was expected to grow from 230.7 billion to more than 383 billion yen during the same time period.
