Jamaica: hotel occupancy 2009-2018

From 2009 to 2015, Jamaica saw an irregular but significant growth of 10 percentage points in the hotel occupancy rate. By 2015, hotel room occupancy in the Caribbean country reached 69 percent, the highest rate recorded in the period from 2009 to 2018. Nevertheless, room occupancy dropped by almost 5 percentage points in 2016, going down to 64.1 percent that year. During the two following years, hotel occupancy in Jamaica recovered 2.8 percentage points, recording a rate of 66.9 percent in 2018.
