England: emergency admissions waiting 4 to 12 hours 2012-2017 This statistic displays the number of individuals who attended accident and emergency (A&E) and had to wait more than four hours but less than twelve hours from decision to admit to admission in England, from the first quarter of 2012/13 to the third quarter of 2017/18. In the third quarter of 2017/18, 163 thousand individuals had to wait between four and twelve hours from decision to admission.
