This statistic shows how often teenagers listened to the radio in Germany in 2019, by type of school. During the survey period it was found that 65 percent of teenagers attending a Haupt- or Realschule listened to the radio daily or several times a week.
In German secondary education the Gymnasium prepares students for higher education, such as a university degree, and finishes after year 12 or 13. The Realschule, designed for intermediate students, has a wider spectrum of emphasis and is completed after year 10. The Hauptschule is meant to train students for vocational education and ends after year 9.
