Sanofi’s U.S. market revenue amounted to some 12.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. During this year, the pharmaceutical and healthcare company headquartered in France generated almost 11 billion U.S. dollars in emerging markets across the globe.

In 2019, Sanofi S.A.’s total revenue numbers reached about 36.1 billion U.S. dollars, a slight increase compared to the previous year. Over the last few years, the company had generated the bulk of its revenue within its pharmaceutical segment. In 2019, the segment’s established prescription product group earned the company some 9.6 billion U.S. dollars.

Sanofi’s employees worldwide

An estimated 100 thousand people worked for Sanofi S.A. worldwide in 2019. Compared to 2015, the company’s total staff numbers have decreased considerably, as Sanofi’s Animal Health segment became part of a German pharmaceutical company by the name of Boehringer Ingelheim in 2016. Around 40 percent of the French company’s staff members is employed in Europe , while about 10-15 percent of the workforce is employed in the United States.
