Electricity generating capacities installed in England 2016-2019, by source

Among all renewable sources, wind power had the highest installed capacity available in 2019, at some 11,356 megawatt electrical. At that time, solar photovoltaic (PV) ranked second, with 98 megawatt electrical behind wind power. However, between 2016 and 2018, solar PV was the leading renewable source in England, based on installed capacity of sites generating electricity.
