Social renters: use of smartphones in the United Kingdom (UK) 2013-2014, by age

This statistic shows the age distribution of social renters, who used smartphones to access the internet in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2013 and 2014. The percentage of mobile internet users increased across all age groups reaching 83 percent among those between 18 and 24 in 2014. The most significant increase (76 percent) in the use of mobile internet was among the 45-54 years old social housing residents: in 2013 every fourth resident belonging to this age group was using a smartphone; this figure had increased to 44 percent in 2014.
