This statistic displays the results of a survey question asking adults in Great Britain whether they believe the level of alcohol duty paid on wine by consumers in the UK (56 percent as of January 2015) is too little, too much or about right, taking into account that 67 percent of all the wine duties paid across the 28 Member States of the EU and 43 percent of all sparkling wine duties are received by the UK Government from UK consumers. Of respondents, 61 percent felt wine duty was too much, compared to only 7 percent who feel its too little.
