Gruppo Campari is a global leading company in the beverage segment, especially in the premium spirits category. According to Impact Databank, Gruppo Campari was ranked sixth in the global beverage industry in 2015. The firm is headquartered in Milan, Italy and was founded in 1860. Today, Gruppo Campari owns 16 manufacturing plants and three wineries and their product portfolio includes aperitifs, vodka, whisky, tequila, rum, liqueurs, sparkling and still wines, as well as soft drinks. The group employs 3,701 people worldwide and went public in 2001. The Italian-based group markets over 50 premium and super premium brands and is best known for their flagship brands Campari, Aperol and Skyy Vodka.
The red Italian spirit Campari originated in Novara in 1860 and is well known for its uniqueness within the spirits segment around the world. The only two known ingredients are alcohol and water, which are combined with a mixture out of herbs, fruit and aromatic plants. The recipe remained a secret known only to very few people in charge of the production process. Today, the premium spirit is distributed in over 190 countries and is used as a main ingredient in cocktails and aperitifs.
