This statistic shows the share of residents from the European Union (EU) taking holiday trips, by gender and type of destination. Over half of both male and female respondents went on holiday in their own countries, though among female respondents the share was slightly higher. Around 30 percent of both male and female respondents went on holiday in another country outside the EU.
