Arts engagement in England, by ethnicity 2020

This statistic presents the proportion of adults who engaged with the arts in the last year in England in 2019/20, by ethnicity. Arts engagement refers to attending and/or participating in the arts sector, such as visiting an art gallery or participating in a theatre performance. In 2019/20, 78.3 percent of white respondents and 60.9 percent of black respondents said they had engaged in at least one art event or activity in the year prior to the survey.
