In 2022, the global supply of platinum stood at nearly 5.5 million ounces, a decrease compared to the previous year and in 2023 it is forecast to reach 5.8 million ounces. Platinum is one of the least reactive metals in the world and is highly resistant to corrosion. It is often used as a catalyst or as a precious metal.
