This statistic presents the proportion of adults who volunteered in the last year in England, between 2012 and 2020 by religion. Over each of the survey periods, the share of respondents claiming to be Christian or of another religion tended to have a slightly higher proportion participating in voluntary work than those with no religion. In 2018/19 there were 35.7 percent Christian respondents who had volunteered at least once in the year prior.
