New passenger cars registered in Poland 2020-2024, by car model

The Japanese car Toyota Corolla was Poland’s most popular car model in 2024. It was the only passenger car for which new registration figures exceeded 20,000 units and was followed by Skoda Octavia. With five different models represented in the ranking of the 20 best-selling cars, Toyota was also one of the most popular automobile brands in Poland.

In 2024, the unquestionable leader in the passenger car market was Toyota. In the ranking of the three most popular passenger car models, which recorded the highest number of registrations in Poland in 2024, Toyota cars took two places on the podium, with Toyota Corolla being the most popular car model sold. In 2024, over 29,000 new vehicles of this model were registered. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all the car brands saw a decline in sales in 2020. In the fourth quarter of 2023, the overall sales volume of new cars amounted to approximately 124,700, being one of the least profitable quarter that year. However, in 2023, a total of about 475,000 passenger vehicles were registered, which is an increase of 13 percent compared to the previous year.
