Assets of all financial institutions in France 2002-2016 This statistic illustrates the value development of assets (financial assets when available, otherwise total assets) for all financial institutions in France from 2002 to 2016. It can be seen that the total assets of French financial corporations increased overall during this period, from a value of almost six trillion U.S. dollars in 2002 to a total value of nearly 14.8 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2016. Although this was the case, the largest value recorded in the period under observation was found in the year 2013, when financial institutions in France held assets totaling more than 17.5 trillion U.S. dollars. Since then, the trend of the last three years has been the one of decrease.
