Penetration of daily media usage in the EU 2011-2017, by media This statistic shows the results of a survey on daily media usage in EU 28 countries from 2011 to 2017. According to the Standard Eurobarometer, television (viewed on a television set or over the internet) was the most popular medium among Europeans in 2017, with 84 percent of people watching it everyday. Internet ranked second with 65 percent of Europeans aged 15 years and older reporting to use it daily in 2017, an increase of 17 percent since 2011. In 2017, 58 percent of Europeans used online social networks at least once a week.
