U.S. print book sales by category 2022

Adult fiction book sales increased by 8.5 percent between 2021 and 2022, with 2021 unit sales hitting 187.82 million, up from just over 173 million in the previous year. All other categories saw a year over year decrease in print unit sales, particularly juvenile non-fiction, which suffered a decrease of 11.2 percent.
