As of August 2021, the most expensive Canadian work of art sold at Heffel auction house in Canada was a painting by Lawren Stewart Harris. The work, titled "Mountain Forms" was sold for roughly 11.21 million Canadian dollars. "Vent du nord" by Jean Paul Riopelle placed second on the ranking, sold by Heffel auction for around 7.44 million Canadian dollars.
