U.S. Hispanics: average shopping expenditure on household products by gender, 2014

This statistic represents the results of an online survey among 1,568 U.S. Hispanic shoppers from September to November 2014. Hispanic consumers were asked how much money they spend on household products per trip on average. The results showed that U.S. male Hispanics spent on average 50 U.S. dollars per visit on household items.

For the Hispanic oversamples, in order to reach a more representative population, Nielsen conducted a portion of the survey using a CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviewing) system. Both mobile-only respondents and those with a landline were contacted using this method.
