Leading breakfast cereal brands in France 2021, by number of consumers
When it comes to portion size, the French are serving up bigger bowls of cereal than any other European nation. Based on median portion size, French consumers would serve up a portion of 44 grams of cereal flakes in 2016, slightly ahead of the 43.5 grams served up in Ireland, and around 10 percent more than portion sizes in Germany or Belgium. People in Sweden were eating the smallest portions, at just 17.5 grams.
By 2018, the sales value of breakfast cereals in France is tipped to reach 965.6 million U.S dollars, an increase of 48 million U.S dollars from the total retail sales value seen in 2010.
