This statistic presents the average per capita spending for online shopping in Europe from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, British consumers had the highest per capita spending at 921 euros. Polish consumers spent considerably less with 419 euros per capita.

The source added the following information: * The report is based on interviews with 10,000 consumers, conducted with private individuals in the age group 15–79 in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, constituting a representative selection from each country.
** To calculate how many consumers shop online in each market, we used Eurostat’s population statistics for 2017 as a basis. To calculate the average spend in euros, we applied the exchange rates from May 29, 2018 (last year, May 29, 2017 was used).
