As of 2023, a total of 11,550 business angel investors were active in the United Kingdom, making oit the European country with the highest number. The UK was followed by Germany, with 8,660 investors. The third place ranking was held by France, with 6,350 investors. The top five was completed by Spain and Turkey, with 4,390 and 1,730 active angel investors, respectively.
