This survey is based on the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older, in private households at the place of main residence.

Information on random sample:
2014: 8,156 respondents, projected base of 70.52 million persons
2015: 7,009 respondents, projected base of 69.24 million persons
2016: 7,026 respondents, projected base of 69.56 million persons

Information on target group "German-speaking internet users":
2014: projected base of 53.54 million persons
2015: projected base of 54.15 million persons
2016: projected base of 55.81 million persons

The source phrased the survey question as follows: "There are various services and products offered on the internet, which can be used or ordered and have to be paid for. This list contains a selection of those products. Please indicate all those of which you would say: 'I do/use/buy this on the internet.'
