Number of onshore wind energy sites in Germany 2000-2020
Germany's number of onshore wind energy sites grew to 29,608 in 2020. By comparison, in 2000 there were only 9,359 such sites across the country. As for offshore wind energy sites that year, there were nearly 1,500 sites.
